We want you to feel comfortable upon arrival for your first light therapy session. So here is a short description of the ‘Light Bed”, what it looks like, the lights and how you can relax laying on the light table.

The bed is horizontal and rectangular, with a hinged lid or canopy which lifts up making it easy to lie down inside. When closed, the bed forms a curved, cocoon-like shape around the person. You will lie on a flat, transparent surface made of acrylic, which is smooth and clear. This surface allows the light waves to penetrate evenly across the skin while providing comfort during the session. We have equipped our beds with clear pillows for your head, behind your knees or heels – wherever you would like the support.  

The inside of the bed is lined with rows of long, cylindrical LED bulbs which combine multiple wavelengths and frequencies to address a wide range of health concerns, from muscle recovery and skin rejuvenation to mental clarity and pain relief. These bulbs are positioned both on the upper canopy and lower base to ensure even exposure to the body. The lights are often visible through translucent panels. The Bed has built-in ventilation fans to keep you cool and comfortable during the session.

Simply adjust the pillows and lay down on the bed. The cover of the bed can be pulled all the way down or left at any degree of openness with which you are comfortable.  

When you are ready, our attendant will escort you to your private room. You are invited to stay clothed or undress to any level you prefer. The attendant will set the bed to your preferences and stay to help you into the bed or leave you in complete privacy.
